Preparations for new scheme continue
Geplaatst op 22 October 2025
Behind the scenes, we are working hard on the transition to the new pension scheme. Social partners have asked the pension fund to transfer (i.e. transfer accrued pension entitlements) to a flexible contribution scheme. That is what we are currently working on. As previously communicated, the transition will no longer take place on 1 January 2026, but at a later date. An exact date is not yet known, but we will of course keep you informed.
In the meantime, there is a lot going on. In October, we hope to take an important step: completing the so-called transition dossier. This is a complete overview of all agreements, documents and calculations necessary for the transition to the new pension system.
What will happen in the coming period?
Once the transfer dossier has been finalised, it will be submitted to the Accountability Body and the Supervisory Board. These parties have advisory and approval rights, respectively. This will be followed by official notification to the supervisory authorities: De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
We are still aiming for a smooth transition in the second half of 2026. This depends in part on when we receive approval from the regulators and whether the pension administration is ready for the transition on time.
Once the official notification has been made, a more intensive communication campaign will also be launched. You will then receive clear information about what the new scheme means for you.
