Pension Fund Robeco Transfers Pension Administration to Appel

As of January 1, 2025, Appel Pensioenuitvoering will become the new administrator for Pension Fund Robeco. In anticipation of the upcoming transition to the new pension system and the desire to continue controlling costs, the board had already initiated a market exploration among pension fund administrators by the end of 2022.

Following an extensive RFI and RFP process, Appel emerged as the best fit. Director Rein Godding notes that the pension fund opts for an administrator positioned in a niche market, possessing a robust and high-quality IT system, employing a market-competitive pricing model, and adopting a strategy well-suited for a pension fund of our size.

Achmea Pensioen Services has been our administrator since 2002. The longstanding relationship is good, and we are satisfied with the services. However, with an eye on the future and a focus on costs, the board deemed it necessary to make this switch in the best interest of the participants.

The intention is also that, as of January 1, 2026, the pension fund will implement a flexible scheme and transition existing entitlements. The social partners are currently finalizing the transition plan.
