When you pass away, your children are entitled to an orphan’s pension. This is a temporary benefit for your children, until they reach the age of 27.
The orphan’s pension is a temporary benefit for your children after your death until they reach age 27. Your children are entitled to an orphan’s pension when you die. Per child, the orphan’s pension amounts to 20% of the lifelong partner pension under the basic scheme. The orphan’s pension doubles if both parents die.
Please note: It is not necessary to report the birth of a child or mention that, due to another relationship, you have children whom you include in your household. When you pass away, the situation will be reviewed and handled in accordance with the regulations.
