Part of your salary on which you do not accrue pension
Every year, you accrue pension on the salary you earn in that year. Because you also receive AOW benefits from age 67, you do not accrue pension on part of your salary. This part is called the franchise.
Within Robeco’s basic scheme, the franchise in 2024 is €17,545. The amount of the franchise can be adjusted annually by the board. What remains after deducting the franchise is the pension base, the part of the salary on which you accrue pension.
