Selecting asset managers who can demonstrate that they pursue an engagement policy and report on it.

Engagement is a central component of the MVB policy. Each year, the fiduciary manager assesses whether the managers meet the pension fund’s engagement requirements. We are still awaiting this report from GSAM. Robeco leads the way in both the scope and depth of its engagement activities, with a strong focus on environmental and SDG-related initiatives. At PIMCO, reporting is good, but the link to ESG impact is less clear.
