Where policy and practice meet

The board office makes sure the board’s plans actually happen. They prepare meetings, write policy notes, keep implementers on their toes and make sure everything fits together.

What do they do?
Led by the director, the office supports the board and all committees. They translate decisions into concrete actions, coordinate with pension administrators and asset managers, and ensure clear reporting to supervisors. They liaise with the Accountability Body, the Supervisory Board and Social Partners as well as with external stakeholders (including DNB, pension administration administrator, asset manager, accountant and actuary) and the employer. They also facilitate specialists such as the risk manager and compliance officer, and help with communication to members.

An important task that the board office now performs is guiding the transition from your pension to the new pension scheme.

What does this mean for you?
Although you rarely see the board office, they make sure your pension fund runs smoothly. Their work allows the board to focus on the big picture, while you can count on reliable and consistent pension execution.
